The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), in collaboration with key partners, is organizing the first Africa Conference on Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization (SAM) as a follow-up to the first-ever Global Conference on Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization held in 2023 in Rome.

The event, taking place from 25 –28 November 2025 at the Johari Rotana Hotel in Dar Es Salaam, will bring together stakeholders to enhance regional collaboration, strengthen institutional arrangements for the successful delivery of mechanization, foster knowledge exchange and promote sustainable agricultural practices that address the needs of African farmers. Expected Outcomes

  • Enhanced integration of SAM into regional and national agricultural development policies.
